This position reports to

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries (E-House Business) in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Overall Key SLD & Protection SLD.
2. System studies like Load flow, Short circuit, transient study etc.
3. Design calculations including transformer sizing, battery sizing, earthing calculation, Cable sizing, cable tray sizing, lighting calculation.
4. Data sheet & specification for Equipment like transformer, MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear, UPS system, bus duct, cable tray earthing.
5. Equipment layout, cable routing/ cable tray layout, cable schedule preparation, earthing design, bus duct layout, lighting layout, switchgear fixing arrangement drawing.
6. Equipment drawing for transformer, MV switchgear, LV Switchgear, Bus duct, DC/UPS system, NGR, Is Limitor.
7. Coordinating with different discipline and ensure on time delivery of all Engineering deliverables as per the project deliverable list.
8. Coordinating with customer & supplier across different locations.

Qualifications for the role

• You possess a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• You have over 8 years of experience in Engineering & On-site coordination for Off Shore FPSO E-House projects.
• Familiar with ABS/ DNV requirement.
• Knowledge in design tools like ETAP, cable sizing tool etc.
• Knowledge of relevant international standards like IEC is an added advantage.
