SEALINK group of companies, from Miri Sarawak, Malaysia, is involved in the maritime industry diversifying in shipping, ship building, ship fabrication and offshore operation. We invite qualified individuals to apply for the following positions:

On Shore

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA or MICPA.
  • Member of MIA, CPA is encouraged to apply.
  • Preferably with 3 years or more of working experience in the related field.
  • Adaptable, analytical and meticulous and able to handle multi-task.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and responsible.
  • Good supervision skills and time management.
  • At least 2 years working experience in marine offshore vessel operations.
  • Attended required offshore courses and offshore safety training.
  • Familiar and conversion with ISM & ISPS code requirement, compliance with SOLAS & MARPOL etc.
  • Carry out planned survey onboard vessel, conduct site inspection, to highlight necessary maintenance and repair (when necessary) and to follow safe work practices.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in shipbuilding and ship repair or in a similar industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in shipbuilding, ship repair marketing strategy and its activities.
  • Initiative and self-motivation, results focused.
  • Well-developed management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application.
  • Able to work independently with dedication and highly committed to multi-tasking.
  • IT literate and proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Words.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English in both spoken and written.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on various types of marine vessels, including engines, propulsion systems, steering systems, and auxiliary machinery.
  • Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues on vessels using appropriate tools, equipment, and diagnostic software.
  • Installation & Upgrades: Install and upgrade mechanical systems and components on vessels as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used. Prepare reports as required by management.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of parts and supplies required for vessel maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and technicians, to ensure efficient and effective repair and maintenance operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to vessel owners and operators, explaining repair needs and providing cost estimates as required.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in Company Secretariat Practices with exposure to a public listed company is an added advantage.
  • Understand and keep up-to-date with Companies Act 2016 and other relevant Acts and Regulations.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Able to handle Private and Confidential matters professionally.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Studies.
  • Student seeking for internship training is encouraged to apply.
  • Computer literate with good communication skills.
