Manager, Investment Business Management
SUMMARY:
The Manager, Investment Business Management, will support the Head of Investment Business Management to oversee the investment administrations to ensure smooth operations of investment management, reporting and monitoring of the investment portfolio to ensure compliance with the internal and external guidelines such as regulatory guidelines and Shariah principles. This involves both in-house as well as externally managed portfolios for Investment Linked and Non-Investment Linked portfolios.
Produce accurate and timely investment reports with analysis and insights, ad-hoc project and analysis of investment process and controls, to ensure smooth running of investment management.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investment Reporting
- Produce investment related reporting for both external and internal stakeholders as per reporting requirements (such as regulatory reporting, ALMIC & Board reporting, CIO reporting).
- Handle Shariah-related matters reporting, ensuring all investments adhere to Takaful principle.
- Support reviews of fund fact sheets, focusing on performance, asset allocation, and market positioning.
- Any report as per request from time to time.
Performance Analytics
- Investment performance reporting for both in-house and externally managed investment portfolios.
- Analytics for performance numbers and engaging with fund managers on attribution analysis.
- Support in quarterly external fund manager review arrangement.
- Insight to process improvement in the handling of performance calculation and cohesiveness.
Data and Limits Management
- Maintenance of IM tools (Zurich related systems such as Pluto, Zeus, Themis, GIDW, PAMs).
- Data management, ensure accuracy and timely upload of data in the system as per requirement (such as in-house ratings, carbon emission updates, etc.).
- Liaise with local teams or Zurich Group to ensure accuracy of data.
- Limit monitoring as per Zurich policy for investment activities of the in-house and externally managed portfolios.
- Upkeep and maintenance of IM documentations (Policy & procedures) in the IM SharePoint.
Others
- Support in activities across all departments such as:
- Asset & Liability Management for local regulatory requirements, managing ALMIC meetings, SAA and compliance matters, as well as Board paper preparation.
- Net Investment Income (NII) planning and monitoring to ensure the department meets the plan target and suggest solutions to mitigate any shortfall.
- ESG reporting, planning, monitoring, coordinating and implementation across the departments.
- Investment cash planning and management.
- KYC and due diligence questionnaire coordination across departments.
- Vendor onboarding and contract administration for Investment Management department.
- Support ad hoc tasks assigned by Head of Investment Business Management.
- Involved in business management, where engaging with business side on investment related matters and products, as well as investment transformation projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Degree Holder or equivalent.
- Qualified accounting/financial profession.
Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Investment Analysis area.
- Experience in working in Islamic financial sector is a strong advantage.
- Experience in working in Insurance/Takaful will be an added advantage.
- CFA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.

- Capable of understanding and managing the investment related ad hoc tasks and projects.
