Our client is an established chemical MNC in the region that is looking to further expand their operations by constructing a plant here in Malaysia. They are looking to hire enthusiastic and driven individuals to be part of their pioneering team.
Job Description
- Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee plant construction from site selection to commissioning.
- Ensure project alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor and manage project budgets and mitigate financial risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, promoting safety and excellence.
- Provide regular project updates and maintain accurate documentation.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- 8+ years of project management experience in manufacturing/construction, prior experience with plant construction is a huge added bonus.
- Experience with engineering technology and large-scale projects is highly desirable.
- Strong project management, leadership, and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel and relocate; knowledge of Malaysian regulations is advantageous.
- Proficient in English and Malay; Mandarin fluency is highly advantageous as key stakeholders are based in China.
