Role Overview:

As the Finance Manager at Inchz Engineering, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the organization's fiscal health across the region. This position requires a deep understanding of financial management, compliance, budgeting, and reporting, combined with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to support business strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Direct and oversee all financial activities of the region.
  2. Track financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
  3. Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
  4. Responsible for the monthly close process.
  5. Responsible for various balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
  6. Manage the preparation of the company’s financial accounting to ensure compliance with the latest local accounting standards, taxation regulations, internal company policies, and group accounting policies.
  7. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and completion of any necessary tax returns (withholding taxes, corporate taxes).
  8. Coordinate yearly audits and external auditors and tax agents relating to the preparation of the financial account and tax matters.
  9. Support the regions by attending to audit queries and deliver audit requests to ensure they meet all submission timelines.
  10. Review and prepare statutory financial statements.
  11. Ensure the control environment is robust, e.g., effective segregation of duties, eliminating the risk of fraud or collusion (internal and external) in areas of spending.
  12. Assist with preparation and reporting of Monthly Forecasting and Annual Budgetary data.
  13. Implement budgetary and expenditure control measures that are aligned with business objectives.
  14. Preparation and presentation of financial statements, management reports, financial analysis, and projects in addition to ad-hoc reporting.
  15. Responsible for timely reporting of monthly/quarterly financial information, including preparation of financial reports and relevant disclosures.
  16. Oversee the work of an Account Executive.
  17. Supervise controls for accounting procedures and systems and recommend areas for improvement to ensure cost efficiencies.
  18. Provide accounting and finance advice and support to operating units as necessary.
  19. Observe accounting policies and operating procedures and propose improvements where necessary.
  20. Participate and provide financial leadership to drive productivity initiatives and support operations management in the execution of business strategies.

Job Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  2. At least 2 years’ experience in finance and accounting.
  3. Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  4. We are looking for someone meticulous, hands-on, independent; exercise initiative, self-motivated, willing to work under pressure with a can-do spirit; and able to work well with different stakeholders.
  5. Proficiency in using MS Office (Excel functions like Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, Word, PowerPoint).
  6. Good command of English and Chinese.

Emolument Packages

Salary Range: RM 4,000 (to be adjusted based on experience).

Government entitlements: EPF, SOCSO, and EIS.
