Lead Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

Provide subcontractors with information and direction, as outlined within contract specifications, to allow work to proceed as scheduled. Authority to interpret technical requirements and provide solutions in conjunction with discipline Project Department Engineer and Discipline Superintendent, to provide drawings and data, and to direct work as assigned and consistent with Company's contractual commitments. Typically assigned to project where the Company has a construction management role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide resident Electrical construction support and management of BV QA/QC inspection services.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly progress review meeting
• Review all pre-fab and installation construction engineering deliverables including procedures, plans,
• drawings, specifications, QA/QC documentation, Inspection, witnessing and Site Acceptance Test (SAT), etc.
• Provide the inspection and witness services relevant to Electrical per agreed ITP and Witness Points,SAT, and other major milestone test on the site
• Provide inspection services relevant to Electrical of off-site manufacturing / fabrication facilities, off-sitestorage / laydown facilities, storage of imported equipment and packages/crates, as required.
• Verify the provision of QA/QC records and certificates relevant to Electrical.
• Verify and compile the punch list and non-conformance reports relevant to Electrical.
• Coordinate with BV engineering team for any technical clarification

Preferred Qualifications

• More than 5 years of experience as Lead site engineer position on CCGT project.
• Experience on construction and commissioning of two large CCGT projects.
• Preferably from Sarawak
  

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either an ABET accredited program in the USA or an engineering program, offered by a foreign institution, accepted as valid in the home country or the country in which the individual is practicing. 0 to 1 year construction management experience in similar facility construction. 1 to 2 years design experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Physical Demands:
• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. 
• Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
• See and hear naturally or with correction.   
• Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties. 
• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure. 
• Requires repetitive movement. 
• May require work above 5 feet in height.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. 
• Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.

• Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions. 
• Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc. 
• Requires working in extremely bright or low lighting conditions 
• Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. 
• Work around hazardous equipment.
• Typical office environment.
