Senior Engineer, Operation & Maintenance

Job Summary

The Senior Engineer will be passionate about sustainable energy solutions and possess a strong technical background in engineering. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the smooth operation and maintenance activities at site.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee day-to-day operations, including waste intake, processing, and disposal activities, to ensure smooth and efficient facility operation.
2. Assist the Plant Manager in developing and implementing operational strategies, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
3. Supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and operators to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
4. Coordinate maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment inspections, to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
5. Assist to implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor facility performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational efficiencies.
6. Responsible to prepare reports/minutes of meeting on facility performance, maintenance activities, and operational metrics for management review and regulatory reporting purposes.
7. Collaborate with regulatory agencies, environmental stakeholders, and community partners to ensure compliance with waste management regulations.
8. Assist in budget management, cost-control measures, and resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
9. Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement through training and professional development initiatives.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related field).
2. Minimum three (3) years of related experience within the waste management operation, with a focus on waste to energy and waste segregation facilities.
3. Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
4. Knowledge of waste management regulations and environmental compliance.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
6. Willing to be based at Plant in Port Dickson
