about the job

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and facilities management activities in the mall
  • Maintain the value of the asset, control all operating costs associated with the operation of the mall, and provide the required level of operational service to retailers, in timely manner & optimum level
  • Liaise and build rapport with vendors and suppliers, making sure that the parties involved deliver high quality services at the right cost
  • Coordinate with 3rd party service providers for maintenance, security, cleaning, landscaping, pest control, IT equipment and software
  • Conduct and coordinate maintenance of building structure and equipment (lifts, genset, plumbing and water supply, HVAC, chillers, air conditioners, CCTV) with technicians and 3rd party suppliers
  • Perform soft services to ensure the mall meets the expectation on housekeeping, vector control, landscaping and waste management
  • Perform hard services to ensure building, compound and fixtures, and all equipment are well maintained
  • Liaise with TNB, DOSH, JKKP, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and other regulatory bodies on approvals, registration/certifications, utility services, and compliance issues, ensuring statutory compliance to applicable laws
  • Ensure all mechanical & electrical installation and services (escalators, elevators, BAS, Fire Alarm System, Fire Fighting System, Lighting, etc) and maintenances are safe, correct, legal, and in compliance with the authorities
  • Prepare budget for operational expenses and capital expenses

skills and experience required

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Property/Real Estate Management, Engineering or equivalent
  • 10-15 years of experience in facilities management & building operations management
  • Strong communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Good understanding of local regulations pertaining to mall operations and building management
