Job Responsibility Position Overview Kay's Steak & Lobster is seeking a dedicated Front of House Supervisor to lead our team in delivering unparalleled service and hospitality to our esteemed guests. As the Front of House Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining establishment, maintaining high standards of service excellence, and fostering a positive and cohesive team environment. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee front of house staff, including waiters, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders, to ensure adherence to restaurant policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to front of house staff, promoting a culture of excellence, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction levels, addressing any issues or concerns in a proactive and effective manner.
- Assist with the hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluation of front of house employees, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration between front and back of house teams.
- Manage reservation systems and seating arrangements, optimizing table turnover and maximizing restaurant capacity.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy, seeking resolutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inspections of dining areas, restrooms, and public spaces to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the overall guest experience and driving customer loyalty.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-end restaurant or fine dining setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff, and management.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure, maintaining composure in high-stress situations.
- Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations, including front of house procedures, point-of-sale systems, and reservation management software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Commitment to upholding hygiene and safety standards, including knowledge of health codes and regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry trays or other items weighing up to 30 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
