Operations Manager

Job Title : Operations Manager (Full-time)

Location : Demak Laut, Kuching, Sarawak

Working hours : Monday to Saturday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of warehouse and transport operations within the logistics company. This role entails overseeing the efficient flow of goods, managing inventory, coordinating transportation activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse and transportation operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Implement and maintain best practices for safety, security, and compliance within the warehouse and transportation functions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor warehouse processes for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
• Manage warehouse layout and optimize space utilization for efficient product flow.
• Oversee inventory control procedures to ensure stock accuracy and minimize stockouts.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with relevant departments to ensure jobs are carried out smoothly and efficiently and assist to resolve sales and operational problems
• Implement quality control measures to ensure products are handled and stored appropriately.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Plan and oversee the transportation of goods, including route optimization, carrier selection, and scheduling.
• Oversee loading and unloading operations to ensure proper handling of goods.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse and transportation operations, including efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery rates.
• Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Implement cost-saving measures and continuously strive to optimize operations.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in warehouse and transportation management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in warehouse and transportation operations management within the logistics industry.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
• Strong leadership, communication skills and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and warehouse and transportation best practices in logistics operations.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems and transportation management systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with operating a forklift is necessary.
• Possess valid driving license and own transport.
• Must be able to work in Kuching, Sarawak
