Job Responsibility
- Oversee and ensure site project development by coordinating, monitoring and conducts site inspections in ensuring day to day site works are according to compliance and timeline as planned. Possesses good understanding on development project specification and construction and its designs.
- Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.
- To manage construction progress by liaising and working closely with Consultants, Suppliers, Contractors and all sub-contractors to ensure work is progressing smoothly and efficiently toward successful completion. Full responsibility for project final inspection and project hand over.
- To monitor and ensure the timely commencement and completion of construction and ensure daily and weekly deadlines are met. Daily or weekly site briefing and updates on its progress and escalation(s) from contractors.
- To maintain records of construction activities on site, including progress reports, inspection reports, and documenting any issues or concerns that arise also ensure compliance with health, safety and all other regulations at the project site.
- To perform routine inspections at the work sites to ensure that the required quality standards are met and in compliance with the pre-defined plans, specifications and quality adherence. Perform quality checks on the projectâs materials and construction quality and resolve matter such as work procedure, complaints or construction problem.
- To coordinate meetings with engineers, architects and contractors on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives and progress.
- To monitor and ensure costs relating to contractors, materials and equipment are within provision and advise Management from time to time before cost overrun.
- To conduct ongoing quality inspections and liaise with contractor(s) to carry out rectification works and monitor the completion of rectification. Monitor and ensure defects escalations are rectified and resolved according to committed timeline and also identify all necessary remedial and outstanding works.
- Plan and organize construction programmes, and be responsible for controlling materials, resources allocation requirements and manage costs/budget and work performance on site on-site. Also to monitor supplierâs and subcontractorâs performances and also to control and verify supplierâs and/or nominated supplierâs products.
- Earthwork experience is required.
- Prepare & issue memo or letter to relevant personnel, implement policies & SOPs as required by the quality system, manage claims for Loss and Expense and Variations and to assist in identification of changes in the Conditions of Contract.
- Candidate must possess Bachelorâs Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 5 years relevant on-site experience in similar capacity preferably in managing high-rise and mixed development.
- Required language(s): English & Mandarin
- Preferably Manager specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent and Able to decipher the propertyâs design drawings and plans.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
- Good negotiation and interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other relevant parties.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines; maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across offices and sites.
- Required skill(s): MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCad.
