The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the costs relating to projects. This includes new builds, renovations, and maintenance work. The role involves ensuring the project is completed within its projected budget and advising on cost-effective solutions. Key Responsibilities: -Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various stages of a project.
- Develop and maintain project budgets.
- Monitor and control expenditure.
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and negotiate contract terms.
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Monitor project progress and provide financial updates and reports.
- Value completed work and arrange payments to contractors.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget.
- Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
- Ensure client requirements are met and maintain positive client relationships.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is being carried out to the required standards.
- Assess the progress and quality of work.
; JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1 year in the same working scope (in construction / ID firm).
- Minimum Certificate in Quantity Surveying/ Building Management.
- Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Negotiate with sub-contractors regarding the rate and make recommendations.
- Empower to discuss contractual matters with sub-contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients and make recommendations to the Head of Contract Department.
