Our client is a well-established building material manufacturing company with huge footprint across the region, with their products well embedded into our daily life.

With the recent increase in demand locally/overseas, they are currently looking for a Supply Chain Director to join in their team.

Job Description

As the Supply Chain Director, you will be expected to have strong supply chain experience mainly within warehousing and logistics. Among the many responsibilities some are listed below:

• Oversee the main activities from procurement, warehousing, third party logistics, transport planning and shipping by setting up a clear strategy for an optimised logistics operations.
• Act as a liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers and set up pro-active plans to continuously improve the capacity.
• Build and maintain an efficient and effective supply chain function and organisation.
• Must operate cross-functionally with Production, Operations, Finance, IT, and other related departments to support bottom-line cost.
• Implementation and continuous improvement of internal programs, policies, and procedures including that of supply chain technology systems.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in medium to large scale international companies from which minimum 5 years in a managerial position.
• Well-versed in customs import and export regulations.
• Strong analytical thinking with passion for process and data mapping.
• Excellent in interpersonal, written and verbal communication with all levels of people and in both languages, i.e.: Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Team player who is passionate to go the extra miles in order to achieve the ambitious targets.
