Our client is a global automotive technology leader that manufactures automotive seating and automotive electrical systems for consumers around the world. Their diverse team of talented employees around the world is driven by a commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability. They are expanding their financial planning analytics team and looking to hire a highly motivated and seasoned Data Scientist.

The new role

Acquire deep understanding of the business problems and translate them into appropriate business solutions.
Develop data science solution, including algorithms and statistical predictive models to identify business challenges and opportunities.
Collaborate internally and externally to identify new and novel data sources and explore their potential use in developing practical business result.
Work with business partners using a collaborative, agile approach to identify possible business opportunities and devise the appropriate modeling approach or framework.
Develop mathematical, analytical, optimization and artificial intelligence or machine learning models to support evidence-based decision making. Ensure overall quality of data and solutions throughout the analytic development process.
Examine, interpret, and report analytical results in both written reports and in oral presentation to varied audiences and communicate analytics, model-based recommendations, and insights in a convincing matter.
Requirements to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or any related field of study or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
At least 4 years of modeling working experience in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or work equivalence.
At least 4 years hands-on experience in any statistical, econometric, engineering analysis or modeling, large scale optimizations, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining and processing.
Proficient in some of the commonly used programming languages and software packages, such as Python, R, Spark, MATLAB, Scala, Java etc. and/or data-warehouse & visualization tools such as Snowflake, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, WebFOCUS.
