Job Description

• To handle overall production corrective and preventive maintenance.
• To perform problem shooting and modification in enhancing/ improving overall system/ process efficiency & effectiveness.
• To monitor and suggest measurement to improve production method, equipment performance and product quality.
• Improvement on process/ productivity/ quality/ material yield.
• To prepare reports, analysis and other duties when required.
• Establish and formulate assigned areas plans and programs, objectives and commitments.
• Disseminate information, advice, instructions and confers with subordinates for the plans and programs to be implemented.
• Conducts technical studies aimed for further improving assigned area’s productivity/ performance.
• To lead and participate in troubleshoot process and equipment troubles and recommend logical course of action based on established principles, standard practice at the occurrence of trouble.
• Participate in installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of new repaired equipment.
• Enforce Code of Conduct and Safety Rules and Regulations among subordinates.
• Implement housekeeping and maintain proper arrangement of loose equipment and materials in the workplace.
• To perform any tasks or assignments given by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Candidate needs to work closely with expatriate consultant from China. As such, it is REQUIRED for the candidate to be able to read and write in Mandarin.
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience preferably in steel manufacturing industry.
• Language proficiency: English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin in order to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients and/or stakeholders.
• Applicants must be willing to work in BUKIT RAJA (KLANG).
