Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with peers and subordinates to understand and advance their human capital needs.
- Advise all levels within the group on organizational policies and Malaysian Labour and Statutory Regulations, following through with recommendations and implementation of required changes.
- Oversee and manage the maintenance and operation of HRIMS software to ensure efficient and effective HR Operations processing.
- Ensure that HR Standard Operating Procedures are practiced by all HR personnel and employees, advising on improvements and following through with implementation.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts, and assisting in the resolution of work-related problems.
- Lead and manage payroll processes for timely and accurate payment of salaries, benefits, and taxes, ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with HR and finance departments to ensure alignment of payroll with overall HR policies and accounting procedures.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the payroll team by implementing and maintaining payroll best practices to improve efficiency and ensure data integrity.
- Oversee the submission of all necessary documentation for tax deductions, EPF, SOCSO, and EIS contributions in accordance with Malaysian regulations.
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and regulations affecting payroll processes and ensure all changes are accurately reflected in payroll operations.
- Ensure timely operations of the Performance Appraisal and Performance Management processes to identify 'STAR' employees and improve overall performance.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates relating to employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations.
- Oversee the filing and maintenance of employee personnel records, compiling statistical reports concerning personnel-related data.
- Handle and resolve employee complaints and grievances, referee and settle disputes, and represent the group at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Perform staffing duties, including managing understaffing, refereeing disputes, terminating employees, and administering disciplinary procedures according to the current Malaysian Employment Act.
- Identify staff vacancies, perform second level interviews, and shortlist suitable candidates for the hiring manager on an ad-hoc basis, managing the hiring process for Management level positions and above.
- Manage and oversee Employee Engagement & Recreational Programs to benefit the mental and physical health of employees and foster a positive attitude towards the group’s organizational objectives.
- Prepare higher level reporting including Monthly Consolidated Payroll Report, Quarterly Employee Lifecycle Report, and Yearly HR Budget Report.
