Job Description

  • Strategic Partnership:
    • Collaborate with manufacturing leaders to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational objectives.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on all HR-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement, productivity, and retention within the manufacturing environment.
  • Labor Relations Management:
    • Lead efforts related to labor relations, including contract negotiations, grievance handling, and collective bargaining agreement compliance.
    • Foster positive relationships with union representatives, advocating for the company's interests while maintaining a respectful and collaborative approach.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers on labor-related issues, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and company policies.
  • Talent Management and Development:
    • Partner with manufacturing leaders to identify talent needs and develop strategies for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent.
    • Support succession planning efforts to ensure a pipeline of skilled employees for key roles within the organization.
    • Facilitate training and development programs tailored to the needs of the manufacturing workforce, focusing on skills enhancement and career growth.
  • Change Management and Organizational Development:
    • Lead change management initiatives within the manufacturing operations, guiding employees and managers through organizational changes effectively.
    • Drive initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, employee morale, and team dynamics.
    • Utilize data and analytics to assess the impact of organizational changes and HR interventions, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities tailored to the intricacies of the food manufacturing environment with specific experience in labor relations and union environments.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize data to drive decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
