- Build practical on-site experience in food service and site operations, a solid start for hands-on roles.
- Gain working knowledge of food safety practices that are valued across hospitality and construction canteen roles.
- Connect with trade teams and supervisors to learn real-world site logistics and teamwork.
- Prepare and serve simple meals and drinks for site workers with care and attention to portioning and timing.
- Keep food prep areas organized and restock supplies so meal service stays consistent and timely.Safety and Hygiene
- Follow food safety and sanitation rules, clean utensils and surfaces, and dispose of waste properly.
- Monitor temperature, storage, and handling to meet food safety standards on site.Team Support and Operations
- Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas, support small maintenance tasks, and report equipment issues.
- Work with supervisors to adapt service during busy periods and help maintain a calm, efficient site environment.RequirementsQualifications and Experience
