About the Job
In this position, you will be the go-to person to oversee all aspects of human resource practices and processes within the administrative, logistics and warehouse operations. This role includes managing foreign workers, ensuring compliance with labor laws, cultural integration, and fostering a supportive work environment. The HR Manager will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and hire
• Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring that new hires are well-integrated into the company culture and operations
• Manage visa and work permit processes, ensuring compliance with immigration laws
Employee Relations:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for foreign workers, addressing any concerns or issues they may face
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Mediate and resolve conflicts among employees, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies
Training and Development:
• Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the skills and productivity of workers
• Conduct orientation sessions and continuous training on company policies, safety regulations, and job-specific skills
Performance Management:
• Develop and implement performance appraisal systems
• Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and guidance for improvement
• Address underperformance and implement corrective action plans when necessary
Compliance and Legal:
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws, especially those related to foreign workers
• Maintain accurate records of employee contracts, work permits, and other relevant documentation
• Stay updated on changes in labor and immigration laws, and adjust company policies accordingly
Health, Safety, and Welfare:
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in the warehouse and logistics operations
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to minimize workplace accidents and injuries
• Promote the well-being of foreign workers by providing access to healthcare services and other support systems
Compensation and Benefits:
• Develop competitive compensation packages and benefits tailored to the needs of foreign workers
• Manage payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment of wages
• Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
Cultural Integration:
• Develop and implement programs to help foreign workers acclimate to the local culture and work environment
• Organize cultural events and activities to promote diversity and inclusion within the workforce
• Provide support for foreign workers' families, including assistance with housing, schooling, and other needs
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resource management, with a focus on managing foreign workers
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, immigration regulations, and HR best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce
