Mechanical Engineer

Name of the Position: Mechanical Engineer

Role summary:

1. Regional and factories project management covering vendors technical review, solutions design, fabrications monitoring, FAT, installation, testing, commissioning, SAT, upgrading activities, trouble shooting
2. Project costing, time plan, contingency management
3. Improve process and SHE control efficiency and reliability
4. AutoCAD drawings, documentation, training and IP management
5. Perform engineering calculations to support factory design decisions and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:

1. Leading / supporting as key players in projects and factory upgrading management
2. Technical and operational evaluations, identify gaps and provide sound solutions
3. Budgeting, technical specifications, briefing, negotiation panel and costing management
4. Time plan with integrated risk management
5. Conduct research, evaluate materials, and analyze manufacturing processes to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional working teams, including electrical engineers, project and production teams, to ensure seamless project executions.
7. Utilize CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create and modify 2D and/or 3D models.
8. Monitoring / tracking with prompt corrective actions
9. Responsible to strategize and provide guidance on the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
10. To ensure Preventive and Corrective maintenance in accordance with plans and schedules.
11. Prepare technical reports, documentation and presentations to provide proactive and constructive communications on findings and project status to stakeholders.
12. Compliance to group SHE, MMR and FLPM
13. Quality projects documentations; Operations / MAI manual, training and trouble shooting
14. Periodic reports and information management
15. Stay updated with latest industry trends, technologies and best practices to continuously improve engineering processes
16. Any other jobs as assigned by superior

Communication & Working Relationships

1. Working with international, regional, home base and external stakeholders
2. Working as project team leader / member on assign projects
3. Cross cultural, cross functional and willing to travel for overseas assignment

Skills & Experience - Desirable

1. 5 years and above in relevant disciplines and preferably in manufacturing environment
2. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
3. Strong engineering projects, utilities, maintenance knowledge
4. Creative and innovative in solutions
5. Critical thinking and analytical skills
6. Confidence communication and interpersonal skills
7. Good in written and verbal English
8. Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD / SolidWorks or similar tools
9. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science and manufacturing processes.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
11. Knowledgeable of industry standards and regulations
