Job Description

Role Overview:

As an IoT Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing integrated software solutions that incorporate various hardware components to address complex challenges and drive digital transformation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design scalable and secure architectures, and implement innovative IoT systems.

In this dynamic position, you will have the opportunity to work across diverse industries, gaining exposure to different sectors and their unique challenges. Your role will involve implementing advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) using RFID and IoT technologies, showcasing your technical expertise while contributing to impactful projects. This is a chance to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and make a meaningful impact in the world of IoT.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Execute site survey and requirement study to evaluate the future implementation of smart devices and sensors in the solution.
2. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, API documentation and user guides.
3. Hands-on system deployment, execute installation, commissioning and perform User Acceptance Test (UAT).
4. Conduct testing to validate the functionality & performance of the IoT applications, perform system data analysis & troubleshooting.
5. Collaborate with project engineers in executing user training and system go-live preparation.
6. In-charge in aftersales support including system support, preventive maintenance support and return merchandise authorization (RMA) support.
7. Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external entities.
8. Collaborate with business development unit in demonstration preparation and proof-of-concept execution.
9. Assist in providing technical suggestions or ideas for IoT solution proposals.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical/Robotic & Mechatronics/IT or related field.
2. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
3. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, or other industry-specific software.
4. Enthusiasm for learning and keeping up with the latest IoT trends and advancements.
5. Strong understanding of IoT concepts, protocols, networking and architectures and good conceptual understanding of technical solutions.
6. Perceive a strong interest and capability in data analysis, problem-solving and system troubleshooting.
7. Has decent understanding of software programming and database knowledge.
8. Well-equipped with strong logical thinking, critical thinking and able to react fast in different situations.
9. Fast in picking up new domain knowledge and correlate with customer requirements into the technical solution spontaneously.
10. Possesses good interpersonal communication and coordination skills.
11. Innovative mindset and willingness to embrace new ideas, methodologies or solution workflows.
12. Strong in written and verbal communication skills, including technical consultation and convincing skills.
13. Good in organizing & structuring scattered information and compiling them into a comprehensive technical documentation.
14. Basic understanding of hardware technical (electronics, electrical and mechanical) and software development (does not require hands-on operation).
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and customers.
16. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
