About Our Client

Our client is an established MNC in the FMCG industry. They are currently looking for a Production Manager with significant experience in the food manufacturing industry to join them. The ideal person has strong leadership capabilities and is able to drive change and transformation across the shop floor.

Job Description

  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring that production schedules are met.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, logistics, quality assurance) to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address any deviations.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor production supervisors and line workers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and development plans.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving production efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Maintain high standards of quality in all production processes.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA).
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement preventive measures.
  • Manage production budgets and control costs.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Prepare and present production reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in the food and beverage industry is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
