Job Position: Assistant Officer Safety, Health & Environment

Job Descriptions:
- Monitoring and inspections of all activities and processes at Plants to ensure good health and safety practices.
- Assisting in documentation preparation and compiling for the SHO, including PPE reports, inventory, and distribution.
- Performing weekly Fire Protection Equipment inspections (Fire Extinguisher, Hose Reel, Fire Hydrant, and Pump House) and ensuring all equipment is in good condition.
- Conducting weekly First Aid Kit box inspections, including inventory and condition checks (positioning, expiry date of items, and quantity).
- Joining section toolbox meetings and obtaining all toolbox records for filing and monthly reporting.
- Performing duties as the Company’s Environment Officer, handling Scheduled Waste Management and other legislation related to EQA under D.O.E requirements.
- Updating Schedule waste data on the DOE website and ensuring effective implementation of Schedule Waste management.
- Assisting SHO with Mykkp applications for JKKP 6, JKKP 7, JKKP 8, and P.M.A/P.M.T/P.M.D renewal/applications.
- Assisting external consultants with sampling, testing, and compiling reports.
- Assisting S.H.O with other assigned jobs related to safety, health, and environment matters.
- Conducting site inspections at the Plant area to identify hazards (Unsafe Act and Unsafe Condition) and taking appropriate safety measures, reporting to respective plant in-charge and superior.
- Assisting in investigating accidents and complaints, determining breaches of health and safety law, and writing reports on inspection and investigation results.
- Ensuring workers are provided with suitable protective equipment, such as eye goggles, ear protectors, head protectors, or appropriate types of gloves and clothing.
- Ensuring Work Permit and HIRARC are applied according to job tasks. Assisting SHO in all matters related to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and BCMS.
Job Requirements:
- Certificate in Safety and Health from NIOSH or related qualification.
- At least two (2) years of working experience, preferably in a construction/manufacturing environment.
- A certified competent Occupational Safety & Health Officer from NIOSH / Diploma in Science / Engineering (Environmental/Safety/Health) or Certificate from NIOSH or related approved institution.
- Computer literate and able to communicate in English.
- Good attitude, positive-minded, self-starter, self-motivated person, independent, and a good team worker.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel.
