Assistant Manager

Job Responsibility

• Plan, implement, and execute safety management programs
• Providing guidance to the project management team regarding health and safety issues and ensuring the site complies with all industry, local, state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure the projects site have been complied with the legal and authority requirements, including Safety & Health policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed and communicated.
• Reporting to Project Manager and related department immediately if any fatal and serious accident and dangerous occurrences.
• Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
• Maintaining and analyzing incident statistic and submit report to related Department including preparing HIRARC (Hazard identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) and JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
• Assessing, advising and organizing safety training and education to enhance safety awareness and safety skill for workers and site staffs.
• Promoting and participating in safety committee activities and maintain appropriate records, including Safety Meeting, Toolbox, New workerâs induction and etc.

Job Requirements

• Good working knowledge in both written and spoken in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Green Book and SHO Certificate certified by DOSH.
• At least 3 years of working experience
• Good in communication skills, conflict management, problem-solving, leadership and reporting skills.
• A good eye for safety and the ability to pay attention
