Workshop Technical Engineer

Job Description

Main responsibilities:
Provide technical support for structures issues under ATA chapter 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 57.

Specific functions:

1. Provide effective and efficient technical support to workshop operations.
2. Prepare and raise required technical documents in accordance with approved procedures, regulatory and owner/operator requirements.
3. Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, aviation authority, owner/operator or any reliable sources to facilitate analysis of engineering issues.
4. Evaluate continuing airworthiness data and maintenance data.
5. Ensure that all technical documents raised meet the authority and company requirements.
6. Conduct root cause analysis and provide remedies for any aircraft structure or component issues when required.
7. Perform research on product improvement and defect mitigation.
8. Ensure sufficient skills are acquired and inform superior of required training to improve competency.
9. Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive action resulting from compliance monitoring and audit program findings.
10. Any other relevant duty as assigned by the superior.
