Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations.
- Implement strategies to optimize production processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Ensure the plant meets production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Champion a culture of safety within the plant, adhering to the company’s safety policies and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards, working to minimize safety incidents and environmental impact.
- Supervise and motivate a team of professionals, including operators, technicians, and support staff.
- Provide coaching and support for team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Collaborate with Human Resources for recruitment and performance management.
- Develop and manage the plant’s budget, controlling costs and resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures while maintaining operational excellence.
- Monitor and maintain product quality standards, implementing quality control measures to ensure the highest quality gases and products are produced.
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and operational performance.
- Embrace innovation and new technologies to optimize plant operations.
- Promote and implement sustainability initiatives in line with the company’s environmental objectives.
- Work towards emissions reduction and energy efficiency in plant operations.
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including production data, safety reports, and maintenance records.
- Generate regular reports to monitor key performance indicators and plant performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
- Proven at least 10 years experience in plant management, preferably in an industrial chemical/gas environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control.
- Budget management and cost control experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to drive change and lead in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
