Product and Application Development Engineer Location: Port Klang, Selangor Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: RM7,000 – RM9,000 per month Intelek Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company seeking an experienced Product and Application Development Engineer to drive new product development and enhance existing product solutions. The successful candidate will lead technical activities involving product formulation, laboratory development, product testing, scale-up support, and technical collaboration with internal teams and customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new product formulations, innovation solutions, and colour matching at laboratory scale
- Conduct product performance verification and prepare technical specifications
- Support manufacturing scale-up and ensure smooth product handover to production
- Coordinate laboratory activities and maintain development quality
- Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams
- Manage technical documentation including DQP, PLM, SAP, SDS, and TDS
- Provide technical support, product recommendations, and training to internal teams and customers
- Support raw material evaluation and supplier recommendations
- Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer, Material Science, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in plastic compounding and plastic testing
- Strong knowledge of polymer formulation is mandatory
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
