SAP OpenText Archiving Consultant

Job Description:

We are looking for an OpenText Archiving Consultant who has experience working with SAP and OpenText for Data and Document archiving. The ideal candidate will participate in tasks such as:

1. Business discussions
2. Requirements gathering
3. Technical specifications
4. Design, development, and documentation for current and future project implementations as a member of the MT DBS Data Volume management team.

In addition, the candidate will support/manage archiving related activities such as:

• Implementation of SAP ILM
• Upgrading OpenText environment

The responsibilities also include:

• SAP Data & Document Archiving Integration with OpenText for business processes and interfaces (Design, test, documentation, and implementation)
• Performing periodic status review of archive objects and addressing open issues
• Conducting testing for release cycles and disaster recovery test cycles
• Partnering/collaborating with Business Key and Power Users in their daily work, especially after Go-Live of new units, to establish an effective support structure for SAP archiving with OpenText
• Monitoring system performance and implementing correction notes as applicable
• Enforcing best practices and Lean initiatives in the projects
• Advising on architectural frameworks and tools
• Working/leading on projects related to data volume management e.g. SAP Information Lifecycle management (ILM), OpenText upgrades
• Configuring ILM technical configuration in OpenText, Retention warehouse, extraction methods, etc.
• Communicating continuously with management and peers about the status and progress of ongoing projects
