About the Role

  • To support on being the Centre of Excellence for analytics solution strategy to enable AIA’s vision of promoting Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
  • To be part of the data science team to deliver analytical work with business execution that contribute to business growth, customer experience, productivity and optimize efficiencies.
  • Create valuable best practices that can be replicated in other markets.
  • To produce best practice analytics solutions to support business decisions with measurable success to drive business growth and effectiveness.
  • To deliver the analytics workplan with the Insights team and business users to ensure delivery of brilliant analytics work that meets the business pace.

Job Description:

  • To create and execute the data science approach to support the long term and short term business needs, which will drive tangible business outcomes.
  • Partnering with the Insights team to ensure delivery of analytics workplan in a timely manner with brilliant quality work.
  • This role requires candidates to have a hands-on approach and be the analytics technical expert who uses large data sets and strong in applying varieties of machine learning methodology/algorithms with different data tools in developing the models, running simulations & optimization.
  • Being an analytics consultant for the business stakeholders and able to coach team members to recommend and deliver the creative analytics solutions for continuous improvements and solving business questions.
  • Implement and manage a high standard of procedural documentation.
  • Research and experiment with creative and advanced machine learning techniques and tools.
  • Drive the collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Masters in any relevant field of study is required.
  • 5 years’+ data science related experience.
  • Advance level in programming-based analytics with experience in two or more of the following languages: SQL / R / Python
  • Proven experience in building statistical models, segmentations, predictive and propensity models (e.g. clustering, predictive models, neural network, scenario analysis, conceptual modelling, hypothesis testing).
  • Good understanding of design and machine learning algorithm principles.
  • Good understanding of machine learning model management principles and practices.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary and competitive environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to collaborate with other teams to drive positive outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Added bonus if candidate has experiences over Big Data platform (especially unstructured data) and deep learning.
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive business outcomes.
