Sales Engineer

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for Equipment, After Sales and Service activities such as preparing and submitting quotations and tenders and proposing service contracts.
  2. Responsible for taking care of existing customers and acquiring new customers for special projects.
  3. Manage daily sales operations including cold calling, customer visits, meetings, and related matters. Plan and manage the sales process from inquiry until submission of billing documents.
  4. Prepare weekly sales reports and sales forecasts.
  5. Work closely with the Product Application Unit to secure new inquiries for equipment.
  6. Collaborate with the Service Team to secure service sales and service contracts.
  7. Create and build rapport with customers.
  8. Adapt new business strategies in accordance with the types of clients secured by the Company, working towards weekly and monthly sales targets and KPIs.
  9. Utilize effective office skills to document and communicate all customer interactions, manage the sales pipeline, track quotes, capture competitive information, and maintain accurate customer records.
  10. Familiarity with Business Portals and systems such as SUS Portal, Smart Gep, Ariba, CRM, etc.

Requirements:

  1. Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.
  2. Preferably specialized in Engineering/Technical/IT or equivalent.
  3. Familiarity with industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, and water & wastewater treatment engineering companies.
  4. 1-2 years of experience in Engineering Sales, with preference for candidates in the analyzer field.
  5. Possess own transport and willing to travel extensively at short notice.
  6. Must be willing to engage with customers and business partners.
  7. Result-driven, self-motivated, and possess a positive working attitude, with the ability to work independently.
  8. Required Languages: Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  9. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and problem-solving abilities.
  10. Candidates must be stationed in Bintulu, Sarawak (East Malaysia) & Johor (Southern) .
