Position Description: The Buyer is responsible for obtaining quotations from suppliers, raising purchase orders, expediting orders and maintaining supplier relationships, Issuing and analysing RFQ to supply base. Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, work instructions and KPI’s.
- Place all Purchase Orders for assigned/supplier spend.
- Obtain order confirmations within agreed timelines.
- Manage delivery of all orders and expedite accordingly.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
- Support Senior Buyer/s on delivery of Score Group Procurement strategies.
- Assist Stores team with any delivery queries.
- Where applicable mentor Buyer’s with less experience within the Team.
- Assisting Accounts team with resolving invoice queries in a timely manner.
- Issue and manage requests for quotations to supply base
- Awareness of Fraud/Irregularities.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Relevant experience within Supply Chain environment,
- Sound working knowledge of MS office package – word, excel and PowerPoint.
- Relevant experience with ERP systems
- Effective communication skills,
- Ability to work well as a team member and to take own initiative,
- Commitment to continual improvement and flexible approach to change,
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering HSandE excellence.
- Experience within a similar role preferred however not essential as training will be provided.
- A Senior Buyer position typically requires 3–5+ years of intensive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
