Job Summary:

The Senior Accounts Executive is responsible for handling both internal accounting and potential external client service duties. This role requires a well-rounded individual with strong financial and analytical skills, as well as the ability to provide high-quality services to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Internal Accounting:
    1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
    2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
    3. Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
    4. Provide financial data and insights to support the decision-making processes of the management team.
    5. Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
    6. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
  2. External Client Service:
    1. Provide accounting and advisory services to select clients, including financial reporting, tax planning, and consulting.
    2. Communicate effectively with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
    3. Assist clients in the preparation and filing of tax returns, as well as other compliance-related tasks.
    4. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices to provide valuable insights to clients.
    5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Thorough understanding of the full set of accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Xero, Microsoft Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
