About the Role
We're seeking an EHS Engineer t o join our Facilities Department and drive world‑class Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards across our manufacturing plant. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, this role ensures 100% compliance with statutory regulations , minimizes workplace risks, and strengthens emergency response readiness. You'll collaborate closely with engineering teams to safeguard plant operations, chemical handling, and facility expansions.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance : Liaise with DOSH/JKKP & DOE; manage permits, licenses, and certifications (PMA/PMT).
- Safety & Risk Management : Lead HIRARC assessments, PTW systems, RCA investigations, and CAPA implementation.
- Environmental Oversight : Manage scheduled waste, emissions, effluent discharge, and chemical SDS compliance.
- Emergency Preparedness : Maintain fire protection systems, train ERT & First Aid teams, and coordinate annual drills.
- Safety Culture : Conduct inductions, enforce contractor safety discipline, and track EHS KPIs (zero LTI, near‑miss reporting).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years' EHS experience in manufacturing/semiconductor packaging.
- Preferred Certifications : DOSH Green Book (SHO), CePSWaM, CePIETS, CePBFO.
- Strong command of English & Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
- Skilled communicator with analytical problem‑solving and risk mitigation expertise.
