Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations
- Implement strategies to optimize production processes and increase operational efficiency
- Ensure the plant meets production targets while maintaining high-quality standards
- Champion a culture of safety within the plant, adhering to the company's safety policies and industry best practices
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards, working to minimize safety incidents and environmental impact
- Supervise and motivate a team of professionals, including operators, technicians, and support staff
- Provide coaching and support for team members, fostering their growth and development
- Collaborate with Human Resources for recruitment and performance management
- Develop and manage the plant's budget, controlling costs and resource allocation
- Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures while maintaining operational excellence
- Monitor and maintain product quality standards, implementing quality control measures to ensure the highest quality gases and products are produced
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and operational performance
- Embrace innovation and new technologies to optimize plant operations
- Promote and implement sustainability initiatives in line with the company's environmental objectives
- Work towards emissions reduction and energy efficiency in plant operations
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including production data, safety reports, and maintenance records
- Generate regular reports to monitor key performance indicators and plant performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
- Proven at least 10 years experience in plant management, preferably in an industrial chemical/gas environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control
- Budget management and cost control experience
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to drive change and lead in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
