Job Scope:

Provides business support for sales channels – both institutional and retail , and acts as a key liaison with internal functional departments to develop business workflows as well as business reporting and documentation to complete investment proposals, due diligence, request for proposals (“RFPs”) templates, request for information (“RFIs”) templates, distribution and investment agreements, among others.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a central database of information of our products/strategies and organizational capabilities for use in responding to distributor’s or client’s due diligence, RFPs, RFIs or other company related queries.
  2. Responsible for the preparation of due diligence, RFPs, RFIs and any other relevant business proposals. This includes collecting, compiling and documenting all relevant information from various internal departments and parties, reformatting and recording the information into the said requests.
  3. Preparation of legal documentation with reference to any client onboarding of alternative investments solutions besides Unit Trust Funds for clients such as Investment Management Agreements (“IMA”), customized distribution agreements for individuals and institutions, KYC documentations and other legal requirements as prescribed by Risk and Compliance.
  4. Primary coordinator with all relevant functional departments i.e. Risk & Compliance, Product Development, Investment Management, Operations and Finance for collation of information and materials required in completing the said documentation.
  5. Provides periodic materials to update clients and business partners on fund performance, market developments, sales activities/campaigns and relevant channel communications/bulletin as and when required.
  6. Assists the Head of Department through the following:
    • Ensuring seamless agency empanelment within the agreed timeline.
    • Building and enhancing the process and productivity of private mandates through the Institutional Business Channel.
    • Leveraging on IT to extend our distribution reach through our online platform and providing robust IT support to the focus channels.
  7. Governance:
    • Vendor management set-up and monitoring.
    • Annual audit and compliance support and requirements for S&M.
    • Channel compliance and communications.
    • Assumes other duties as prescribed by the management.

Job Specifications:

Qualifications:

  • Preferably a degree or equivalent in Business/Marketing/Economics/Finance. Additional qualification in investment management will be an added advantage.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Familiar with financial and capital markets.
  • Understands investment products and concepts.
  • Able to rewrite complex technical investment language into crisp, concise and appealing marketing materials and Due Diligence or RFP responses.
  • Able to construct informative diagrams and graphs to support marketing materials.
  • Experienced in producing informative and appealing presentation decks using PowerPoint.
  • Experienced in producing marketing and sales materials for a major financial services organisation.
  • Able to provide a high standard of work under tight deadlines.
  • Prepares to work outside office hours in order to meet delivery schedules where required.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working across organisational structures.
  • Good written and spoken skills in both English and Malay language. Knowledge of Mandarin and local dialects is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrates business acumen, thinks and acts strategically.
  • Strives for quality, has an eye for details and delivers on time.
  • Has good initiative and a high level of integrity.
  • Proactive, organised, resourceful and accurate.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Applications – MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel.
  • Preferably with experience in dealing with fund managers, sales teams, product managers and customers.
  • Project management from planning through implementation is an added advantage.

  • At least 3 years of experience in the fund management industry.
