About the role

What you will do

• Responsible for the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of various advanced inorganic BOM materials on discrete packages and power modules.
• Leadframe and substrate material development, material characterization, and interaction with processes.
• Leading cross-site technical competency teams to synchronize with semiconductor industry direction and drive advanced material development.
• Identifies material cost down opportunities and drives projects to enhance package competitiveness.
• Daily work requires applying statistical analysis tools, failure analysis, and problem-solving techniques to enhance material performance.

What you will need

• Master's/Degree in Material Science / Mechanical / Applied Physics or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years experience in the material field as a process manufacturing or development engineer in a semiconductor or other relevant industry.
• In-depth understanding of materials to comprehend their related process robustness and package integrity.
• Solid knowledge in material selection and new material qualification processes.
• Solid leadership of cross-functional projects is required to successfully solve complex BOM material and/or integration challenges.
• Knowledge of semiconductor packaging and assembly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in bilingual.
• A disciplined use of statistical methods (Minitab, DOE, Technical report writing, FMEA, etc.) is required.
• Experience in dealing with China counterparts.
