Responsibilities:
· Perform manufacturing engineering assignments associated with the integrity of product design to assure quality and cost-effective production
· Advise engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs
· Maintain factory uptime through day-to-day problem solving, with the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks autonomously
· Drive On-Time-Delivery while balancing freight cost via effective VOC with internal customers
· Leverage Kaizens and Lean manufacturing principles to surge or rescale factory capacity from S&OP signals and triggers
· Coordinate with regional procurement teams on PPV and localization initiatives
· Ensure efficient manufacturing through achieving quality, cost, operating specifications, customer and company standards, and requirements
· Plan, define, and implement new manufacturing systems as needed for new product introductions
· Responsible for managing and implementing projects of varying complexity and scope
· Ensure integrity of existing manufacturing documents and take ownership of creating new manufacturing documentation
· Perform routine product teardowns and process audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university preferred
- 5+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (5S, SW, PSP, SMED, VRK, OEE, TPM, etc.) a plus
- Proven problem solving aptitude using various tools and techniques
- Leadership experience within a team, project, or job
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results
- Comfortable working problems of moderate scope where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- SolidWorks and/or Pro Engineer (ProE) experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings required
- Experience working in a metric/goal-driven environment
- Hands-on approach/experience with manufacturing processes preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills ; effectively able to present information and respond to feedback at any level within the global organization
