Job Description:

Chambering Student (Litigation)

1. To assist lawyers on litigation files in all aspects
2. To draft, prepare and fair letters and correspondences
3. Drafting cause papers
4. Conducting legal research
5. To maintain and manage proper filing of records
6. To fair cause papers, attend to the preparation and filing as well as progression of litigation files
7. Preparation for court proceedings
8. Attend to other work assigned by the lawyer from time to time.

Junior Legal Associate (Litigation)

1. Having conduct of litigation matters in all aspects
2. Drafting cause papers, submissions and all relevant documents involved in litigation matters
3. Conducting legal research
4. Preparing legal opinions
5. Preparation of documents and cause papers for court proceedings
6. Having conduct of files and attend to all litigation matters
7. Attend court for case managements and hearings
8. Attend to clients and other works assigned by the firm from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Chambering Student (Litigation)

1. Possess the relevant qualifications to commence pupillage.
2. Preferably with past experience in attending to litigation work (paralegal, clerkship or internship)
3. Strong legal research skills.
4. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
5. Meticulous and good drafting skills.
6. Able to work under pressure.

Junior Legal Associate (Litigation)

1. 1 to 2 years of Post Qualification Experience or pupillage experience in civil litigation
2. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
3. Meticulous and good drafting skills
4. Good oral and written advocacy
5. Strong legal research skills
6. Able to work independently and under pressure
7. Good analytical skills
