Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities -
- Promote and sell John Crane products in accordance with the company policy, pricing guidelines, and regulations.
- Identify business opportunities and create proposals.
- Achieve sales targets and demonstrate strong results in business development.
- Develop value propositions, contracts, and agreements.
- Act as an internal leader to assist new sales teammates.
- Provide guidelines for customers on how to use and apply our products.
- Be actively involved in the delivery of goods, invoicing, and collections on payments from customers.
- Provide monthly activity reports.
- Prepare quotations for John Crane products for customers under account.
- Build good rapport with customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Act as a good interface between the company and internal and external customers.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Be capable of involving in site work.
- Be flexible to face any contingency plans and organize assigned activities.
The Individual
Skills & Experience -
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the mechanical field, with exposure to the O&G petrochemical industry and basic industry standards and API exposure.
- Familiarity with business development in East Malaysia.
- Familiarity with customers in onshore and offshore environments.
- Sound knowledge of rotating and process equipment; knowledge of mechanical seals, rotating equipment, and turbomachinery would be an advantage.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Capable of drafting reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Capable of conducting training for clients.
- High flexibility for travel based on business requirements.
