Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment)

You play a supporting role to provide supports and assistance to the Manager in the department’s day-to-day human resource services and administrative services management.

  • To ensure the passport/ work permit/ employment pass/ visa application and renewal, special pass, check-out memo for the foreign workers are active by liaising with agent and immigration officers.
  • To oversee the foreign workers matters/activities, including the development, interpretation, application and implementation of disciplinary guidelines, grievances handling, employee counselling, performance improvement plan and other disciplinary related matters.
  • To assist in the investigation, verification and analysis of any misconduct or grievances and complaints by the employees and carry out domestic inquiry as and when required.
  • To provide reports and prepare letters in relation to disciplinary issues.
  • To conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee’s resignation and data are analyzed for management review on quarterly basis.
  • To in-charge, handling, suggest, solve and rectify foreign workers’ grievances or complaints.

Recruitment

  • To oversee the recruitment process for worker level employees including but is not limited to advertising, sourcing, screening, interview arrangements, reference checks, preparation of offer letter and participating in the onboarding process.
  • To work closely with the departmental heads to understand the job responsibilities and requirements in developing an effective and comprehensive job posting, technical interview assessment and behavioral questions.
  • To coordinate the foreign worker application quota by liaising with the agency and hiring manager to ensure smoothly process and accordingly to the government rules and regulations.
  • To build reputable and positive employer branding with engagement with industry professionals, colleges, universities, associations and social media portals including job portals and career fairs to attract talents.
  • To develop and revise job descriptions that reflect each position current requirements.
  • To manage local vendor relationships and ensure high service levels, as well as, to leverage on other appropriate channels available in the market.
  • To understand talent supply and demand dynamics in key markets, review hiring strategies and develop workable sourcing plans.
  • To maintain consistent standards for all applicants and ensure compliance with all local rules and regulations, and HQ’s requirements related to hiring and recruiting.

Performance management

  • To assist in managing all activities related to the performance management cycle for workers’ level and manages all communication, sensitization and monitoring of the process to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to the business needs.
  • To develop and deliver briefings and correspondence to HODs on all the processes of performance management, including planning, monitoring, developing and evaluating performance, as well as, the rating process.
  • To ensure that mandatory requirements such as KPI proposal submissions, mid-year reviews and final reviews are met.

Others

  • To drive and organize company events / activities as part of the staff engagement initiative to foster a stimulating workplace that values the individual contribution.
  • To assist in developing employee engagement programs that will lead to more efficient and motivated workforce.
  • To manage government departments’ request by liaising with labour department, immigration and MIDA when and as required to ensure smooth process.
  • To involve and assist in full internal and external audits cycle and cooperate with the auditors to ensure the audit objective to be achieved.
  • To carry out other duties and tasks as directed by the Management in line with competencies and activities associated with any of the above processes.

Job Requirements:

  • At least Diploma in HR/ Business Administration or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience with relevant exposure, specifically foreign worker management.
  • Have a great sense of urgency and able to handle multi tasks under pressure.
  • An analytical mind and meticulous nature.
  • A good team player.
  • Able to start work immediately will be priotized.
