The Transaction Platform team powers Grab’s multi-billion-dollar Deliveries business across Southeast Asia. We build the core platforms that orchestrate every order, payment, refund, dispute, and merchant transaction at massive scale. Get to Know the Role 

As a Lead Product Manager, you will own and advance key areas of Grab’s merchant transaction platform. You’ll lead the development of mission-critical capabilities that power millions of orders daily, working at the intersection of distributed systems, financial integrity, and large-scale operational workflows. You will translate broader platform strategy into clear product roadmaps, make thoughtful technical and business trade-offs, and work closely with engineering and cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. This role requires strong product judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to drive complex initiatives across teams and markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own Platform Roadmaps: Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for key areas of Grab’s merchant transaction platform, balancing immediate business needs with long-term scalability and reliability.
• Build High-Scale Platform Capabilities: Lead the design and delivery of platform services spanning order lifecycle management, merchant operations, dispute resolution, and transactional integrity.
• Solve Complex Platform Problems: Break down complex, multi-party workflows and work with engineering and operational teams to deliver accurate, reliable, and resilient transaction-processing experiences.
• Drive Operational Excellence : Develop platform capabilities that reduce merchant downtime, improve operational governance, and recover merchant demand through automation, permissions, auditing, and risk controls.
• Make Data-Informed Decisions: Define success metrics, analyse platform performance and operational data, and use insights and experimentation to prioritise improvements and guide product decisions.
• Lead Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with engineering, operations, finance, legal, and commercial teams to clarify requirements, resolve trade-offs, and deliver complex initiatives across the region.
• Contribute to Platform Strategy: Bring customer, merchant, operational, and technical insights into the broader Transaction Platform strategy and identify opportunities to strengthen the platform over time.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

• At least 6 years of Product Management experience, including ownership of platform products such as transaction processing, payments, commerce platforms, order management, financial systems, or backend infrastructure.
• Strong technical and systems thinking, with the ability to understand complex architectures, work effectively with engineering teams, and make sound product and platform trade-offs.
• Demonstrated experience taking complex platform capabilities from problem definition and discovery through launch, adoption, and ongoing optimisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data, experimentation, customer insights, and technical understanding to identify opportunities and guide product decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to align cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, finance, legal, and commercial organisations.
• A track record of driving execution in complex environments, managing dependencies, resolving ambiguity, and delivering measurable customer, merchant, operational, or business outcomes.
