Data Scientist

Our client is a boutique Software House that offers unique IT products and services tailored to your business needs and requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance and Support for all DBMS/RDBMS utilized by Tech COE Team. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) regular tasks such as:
   
   • DB Release Management
   • DB uptime monitoring
   • DB Optimization
   • DB Security & managing User Access & Permissions
   • Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution
   • Backup, Recovery, and Archival
2. Hands-on & Advisory work on System Integration & Database related tasks includes (but are not limited to) regular tasks such as:
   
   • User Requirement Study
   • Backend (C#.net) development on Web Service, Windows Service
   • DB Design, Configuration & Implementation
   • SQL scripting (e.g. Stored Procedures)
   • Database Systems & Data Migration Projects
   • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
   • DB Integration (e.g SSIS)
   • Test Data Preparation & Management
3. Collaborate with internal development team to design and develop in-house software applications.
4. Collaborate with external vendors to deploy and maintain vendor software applications.
5. Project Documentation and adherence to DevOps Practices.
6. Explore and test new versions of DBMS (aside from MSSQL).

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree Specialized in: IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science.
2. At least 6 years of experience in Software Development and System Integration.
3. In-Depth knowledge and hands-on work experience in MSSQL (On-Premise and Azure Cloud).
4. MSSQL with knowledge in SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL, Data Warehousing.
5. Excellent knowledge in RDBMS concepts and experience in SQL Scripting (e.g. joins, subqueries, indexes, views, stored procedures, etc.)
6. Excellent knowledge in working with web services, window services, API platforms.

Remuneration:

MYR 8,000 - MYR 15,000
