Web Developer

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects. 

 

Responsibilities

• Web and multimedia development professionals combine design and technical knowledge to research, analyse, evaluate, design, program and modify websites and applications that draw together text, graphics, animations, imaging, audio and video displays and other interactive media.
• Tasks include –
• Analysing, designing and developing Internet sites by applying a mixture of artistry and creativity with software programming and scripting languages and interfacing with operating environments;
• Designing and developing digital animations, imaging, presentations, games, audio and video clips and Internet applications using multimedia software, tools and utilities, interactive graphics and programming languages;
• Ccommunicating with network specialists regarding web-related issues such as security and hosting websites, to control and enforce Internet and web server security, space allocation, user access, business continuity, website backup and disaster recovery planning;
• Designing, developing and integrating computer code with other specialized inputs such as image files, audio files and scripting languages, to produce, maintain and support websites;
• Assisting in analysing, specifying and developing Internet strategies, web-based methodologies and development plans.

Qualifications

• Candidate must prossess at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Degree, Advanced Degree.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin will be an advantage as the role requires to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience  in the related field is required for this position.  Strong expertise with WordPress platform.
• Developing  mobile responsive design websites.
• Positive attitude, passionate on collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable to change, able to pivot and find alternate solutions, demonstrated capability in meeting new challenges.
• Good problem solving skills, able to navigate unexpected situations or conditions.
• Critical observer-thinker, bringing fresh perspective and offer intuitive solutions and ideas.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in driving teamwork excellence, conflict resolution.

• Have strong knowledge of applicable system automation, business solution softwares.

Must have skills

• Must have experience in develop Corporate & Ecommerce website using  Wordpress, Wix  and etc.
• Strong knowledge in website development setup via  MYSQL Management / CPanel / Direct Admin /Plesks
• Knowledge in front-end technologies, including  HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap .
• Good understanding in back-end programming languages eg. PHP, MYSQL, JavaScript.

Good to have skills

• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
• Have knowledge in setting up Google Analytics & Google webmaster.
• Have knowledge in SEO is a plus.
