Key responsibilities

1. Management of Tax Compliance Assignments.
2. Perform or manage advisory and tax planning assignments.
3. Coaching and guiding team members, seniors, and assistants on tax projects.
4. Engagement monitoring – Manage, review, and ensure compliance with tax regulations and procedures.
5. Perform technical and/or marketing functions.
6. Build close rapport with clients and relevant authorities.
7. Involve in business development.
8. Any other assignments and tasks from the superior deemed appropriate and relevant.

Desired skills & experience

1. Minimum Degree in Finance / Accounting or any relevant field.
2. Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years at a supervisory level, preferably from a professional services firm environment.
3. Deep understanding of Malaysian Tax regulations and compliance requirements.
4. Strong drive to excel professionally.
5. Demonstrated success in adapting to a work environment of professional staff.
6. Team player, able to lead the team in a fast-moving and deadline-driven environment.
7. Able to provide useful and timely feedback to staff and keep management informed of progress and issues.
8. Driven to meet client expectations and reliable in delivering results.
9. Preferably a full or partial member of any relevant professional bodies.
10. Excellent communication and people management/development skills.
11. Strong accounting and analytical skills.
12. Functional knowledge and skills in using Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
13. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
