Exploration Geologist

Job Responsibilities:

• Focal geologist for BD-4 Appraisal well including the workscope of preparing the SOR, GP Survey, geological assessment for shallow reservoir, external lead for MPM/REX reviews, well proposal preparation and spud.
• Focal geologist for ADP update including producing the executive summary, PM 302/PM325 Exploration background, remaining Leads and Portfolio, and integrated development planning.
• Focal work on the NMB Western Area Development in 2022, for seismic interpretation task.
• Regional geological and geophysical studies, acreage and prospect maturation is carried out to identify basins and plays to support bidding in exploration bid rounds and farm-in and acquisition initiatives.
• Identification and mapping of leads and prospects for exploration drilling opportunities, including quantification of play & prospect risks, volumetric assessments, and economic viability.
• Planning and execution of exploration and appraisal drilling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Geosciences or Geology or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years experience in similar scope within Malay Basin with GHA application work an advantage.
• Experienced Petrel and GeoX software user.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Registered geologist with Board of Geologist Malaysia (Lembaga Ahli Geologi Malaysia).
