Job Description

We are looking for Specialists, Field Sales to be based in Penang, Malaysia . This role will be reporting to the Lead, Field Sales in the Commercial department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Driving B2B sales, seeking and securing new partnerships with vendors.
• Passionate about the food and beverage industry with a desire to sign up the best local and international vendors.
• Be the local market expert: Know the best restaurants and shops in Malaysia and provide recommendations.
• Gather feedback from restaurants and shops, monitor competitor activity, and provide recommendations for improvements to management.
• Be the brand ambassador: Conduct cold calls and walk-ins, schedule in-person meetings, and sell foodpanda services to potential vendors.
• Exceed sales targets and performance-based goals while working independently.
• Become part of our international network and high-skilled team.
• Gain an inside perspective of our fast-growing business by being responsible from day one.
• Manage a portfolio of vendors, including restaurant and shop accounts, and exceed goals for account retention, development, and maintenance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of sales experience in consulting, e-commerce, or start-up preferred.
• Flexibility required as restaurants do not always operate on 9-to-5 schedules.
• Outgoing and confident in their appearance.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and under pressure.
• Proactive and capable of leading independent projects.
• Innovative thinker who challenges the status quo.
• Background in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/tech environments preferred.
• Fluency in English (our corporate language) and great communication skills; additional language proficiency is a bonus!
