Job Description

Full Set of Accounts:

• Handle the full spectrum of financial and cost accounting roles, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Internal Controls and Processes:

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.

Support and Collaboration:

• Provide support to the Finance Manager and other departments as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on handling a full set of accounts independently. A background in the retail industry will be preferable.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Autocount and NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
