Data Analyst, Annalect

As a Data Analyst Intern on the Annalect team, you will be aiding in the transformation of vast data sets into compelling and actionable insights.

You have the opportunity to work directly with other analysts and consultants in BI Visualization team, as well as client and agency teams, to communicate your findings and build strategies around them.

Day-to-day

• Learn to build and maintain dashboards using visualization tools such as Datorama, Data Studio and others
• Learn how to work closely with stakeholders (both internal and external) to centralise high-quality data from various sources.
• Learn to assess quality of data through various techniques.
• Work on regular report delivery around media and advertising updates.
• Communicate data insights and outliers through impactful data visualisation and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain taxonomy via Excel or in house tool for various media channels to ensure correct data collection
• Provide support and maintenance of dashboards to ensure availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards
• Learn to work with Data Governance teams to build data checks to constantly improve the data integrity and accuracy of dashboards
• Work closely with the other Data Analysts and the agency teams to learn how to execute advanced analytics and data science needs, around but not limited to ad tech field e.g. Web/app analytics solutions, attribution study
• Learn to build reports and provide analysis to existing and new projects via third-party media platforms and analytics tools
• Ensuring reporting is done in a timely manner

Key skills

• Interested in exploring visualisation tools such as Datorama, Data Studio, Power BI, etc
• Interested in exploring key advertising channels e.g. Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, and other Demand Side Platforms
• Strong data processing and data visualisation skills
• Knowledge of one or more of: Python, R, SQL is a plus
• Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator with well-developed written and verbal skills

Experience

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, information management, social sciences or business/marketing related fields.
• Basic knowledge in data analytics and visualization area (Datorama, Data Studio, Power BI etc)
• Interested in operating SAS, SPSS, R or other advanced analytics software packages
• A strong desire to learn and passion for both performance marketing and analytics
• Ability to manage and prioritize several concurrent tasks
• Ability to work well with others and work in cross functional teams
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Detail-oriented and good organization skills
