Job Responsibility
- Be the key player in running the cafe smoothlyÂ
- Communicate, manage & lead the cafe, mainly the front of house team
- Assist floor supervisor in preparing shift schedules for front of house team
- Supervise front of house team and provide assistance, as needed
- Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
- Communicate with the kitchen team regarding any menu questions, the length of wait, product availability and additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
- Liaise closely with event coordinator to understand guests who intend to organize events in the cafe to ensure smooth execution of intended effect by guests requirements
- Addresing operational challenges and problems as they arise, making quick decisions and resolve issue effectively
- Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
- Lead by example, train & support our cafe staffsÂ

- Enforce company policies & procedures including employee dresscode & behaviour
- Encourage & motivate staff to provie exceptional service an work together as a cohesive unit
- Take an active role in coaching and developing the team, provide service techniques training and hold them accountable to the standards
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Ensuring each of them completes the daily responsibilities that are set for each individual shift
- Be guests' best friend & manage guest dining experience according to companyâs standard
- Maintaining guest satisfaction levels by being proactive in service operations, check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food and beveragesÂ
- Demonstrate a true passion for guest service by proactively seeking ways to surprise and delight guests, always going above and beyond
- Actively improving cafe standards by providing relevant information such as guest feedback
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Able to anticipate any unexpected guest need and react promptly and tactfully
- Gather guestsâ feedback and recommend improvements to overall operations
- Building and maintaining relationships with guests
- Improve cafe sales, cook up fresh new ideas for cafe growth & innovation
- Has a good knowledge of menu and presentation standards; Up-selling products based on your extensive product knowledge
- Able to answer any questions regarding menu and assist guest with menu selections
- Achieving companyâs sales target together with the team
- Taking initiative to discuss and provide ideas for every special occasions (eg. Valentineâs Day, Motherâs Day, Fatherâs Day, Christmas Day etc)
- Participate in meetings and offer insight contributions
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain & improve future restaurant operations
- Managing bugets and cost controlÂ
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Assist or conducts inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies
- Calculate future needs in bar stock, packaging stock, caféâs inventory, kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
- Maintain a restaurant that's always ready for action, meeting all health & safety regulations
- Participate in pre-service setup & post-service close down of premise
- Perform shift closing on the point of sales terminal, tally cash and credit card settlements, and responsible for daily cash out claim
- Ensures that the restaurant is always kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house areas
- Ensures that cafe brand standards and SOP's are consistently implemented
- Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
- At least two years of professional hospitality experience is preferred
- Passionate about people. food and culinary arts
- Diploma or Bachelorâs Degree in hospitality management preferred
- Fluent in english and working proficiency of mandarin and bahasa
- Competent with various computer software programs (MS Office, POS)
- Strong track records in delivering excellent customer service, creating memorable dining experiences
- Flexible to work on evenings, weekends & public holidays
