Business Systems Analyst (BI) (Finance)

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for BI calculation models design and BI dashboards visualization for multiple business units and management.
2. Data analytics, BI algorithm developments, as well as data-related applications for data-driven business decisions and marketing initiatives.
3. Participate in the end-to-end development cycle of systems from idea generation, business requirement gathering, user testing, to enhancement.
4. Implement system requirements by defining and analyzing business needs.
5. Assist Senior Business Analyst with business process re-engineering initiatives.
6. Coordinate with internal and external parties for evaluation and selection of applications and tools.
7. Coordinate with BI vendors to design and build ETL, Data warehouse, BI dashboard, and analytics solutions for generating useful business insights.
8. Communicate with business users on BI objectives and business needs on data to formulate the design of BI dashboards for visualizing business dynamics and customer data.
9. Build the calculation algorithm and customer data modeling for BI analytics.
10. Perform analytics for identifying business insights and customer behavioral patterns for better shaping targeted marketing initiatives.
11. Design and coordinate segmentation platform development for effective filtering of targeted customer lists for data-driven marketing enablement.
12. Design pilot exercises to explore suitable machine learning/AI technology for predictive models development.
13. Support local and regional projects, contributing to business process design as well as migration plans and strategies.
14. Perform systems release support to user acceptance test team or user department.
15. Proactively recommend solutions to address business needs.
16. Prepare system and operational support documentation.
17. Level 2 support and system administration.
18. Support and participate in various ad hoc assignments or tasks.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelors in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or related discipline.
2. At least 5 years working experience with 2 years focusing on BI and data analysis and visualization.
3. Proven experience in Banking, Finance, Accounting institutions, or any other regulated industry sector will be an advantage.
4. Experience in BI dashboard (Tableau, Qlik Sense, IBM Cognos BI/Insight, SPA BusinessObjects, etc.) design and BI + ETL implementation projects.
5. Knowledge of relational databases programming (SQL), data profiling, and data integration will be an advantage.
6. Experience in correlation modeling, data predictive modeling, and machine learning will be an advantage.
7. Experience with Management Reporting/BI/Data warehouse.
8. Knowledge of the money lending industry is a definite advantage.
9. Positive 'can-do' attitude, proactive, independent, self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work with challenges while continually keeping up to date with new technologies and adapting to fast changes.
10. Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
11. Good command of English and Chinese (Putonghua is an advantage).
